Join a dynamic team, in the Finance Department of the Corporate Services Division, that is on the frontline of delivering an exceptional guest experience.

POSITION:
CORPORATE SERVICES SUPPORT (student) 

HOURS OF WORK:
variable up to 36.25 hours per week 

LOCATION: 
Administration Building – Upper Canada Village 
(11 km east of Morrisburg) 

SALARY:
$16.35 per hour 

PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT:
mid-May to September 5, 2023

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO DO IN THIS ROLE? 
You will: 
• Assist and support the Corporate Services Department, consisting of the following: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Purchasing. 
• Check, audit, and reconcile daily all revenues and accounts receivable for all sales and admissions areas of the SLPC.  Enter revenue information into accounting software. 
• Check and prepare invoices for payment.  Enter receipt and payment information into accounting software.
• Perform a broad range of clerical, administrative and computerized payroll-related tasks.
• Assist procurement officers with processing and inputting purchase orders.
• Assist with month-end tasks, photocopy, fax and file.
• Work safely at all times and report unsafe activities immediately to your supervisor. 
• Embody the SLPC’s equity, diversity and inclusion principles while interacting with staff and guests.

HOW DO I QUALIFY? 
You have: 
• Experience in the accounting/clerical field.  International experience is welcome. 
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). 
• Communication and interpersonal skills to deal with staff in a professional, tactful and effective manner. 
• Organizational skills to handle a large volume and variety of work with speed and a high degree of accuracy to meet strict processing deadlines.  
• A familiarity with office procedures and equipment. 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. 
• The ability to learn all safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal, guest and fellow staff safety is maintained at all times.
