Pro Shop Attendant (student)
  
Join a dynamic team, at our championship golf course, that is on the frontline of delivering an exceptional guest experience.

POSITION:
PRO SHOP ATTENDANT (student)

HOURS OF WORK:
variable up to a maximum of 36.25 hours per week (must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings)

LOCATION:
Upper Canada Golf Course
(11 km east of Morrisburg)

SALARY:
$17.40 per hour

PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT:
mid-May to September 2, 2024

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO DO IN THIS ROLE?

You will:
• Collect retail and green fee sales.
• Greet guests.
• Ensure the Pro Shop and rental equipment are clean and in working order on a daily basis.
• Use a computer reservation system to reserve tee times for guests.
• Work closely with the starters and marshals to ensure smooth operation and traffic flow on the course.
• Assist with Back Shop duties when needed. 
• Work safely at all times and report unsafe activities immediately to your supervisor.
• Embody the SLPC’s equity, diversity and inclusion principles while interacting with staff and guests.

HOW DO I QUALIFY?

You have:
• Experience working with computers.
• Cash register skills and the ability to use credit card and debit card machines.
• Knowledge of golf.
• Customer service skills and/or retail sales experience.
• The ability to work closely within a team environment to ensure the smooth running of the entire Pro Shop operation (both inside and outside).
• The ability to learn all safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal, guest and fellow staff safety is maintained at all times.

Student Status: You must be enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution (currently or for the fall semester) OR you must have graduated within the past six months (for example, if you graduated in December, you can apply for and start a summer student position up until June of the following year).
